- Gareth here..

- Yes, it is possible to transpose your BSeq (Backing Sequence) by
- editing a copy of the Arrangement(s) you used in the composition. Lets
- say for example you used the default America set of Arrangements and
- styles and your Bseq was composed using the first Arrangement patch A11
- Mick&Keith then you can simply edit the tranposition in the Arrangement
- A11 and your BSeq would then use this..
-
- Better still make a copy of A11 to an arrangement patch you don't use
- often, say start at Arrangement A88 then you can work backwards copying
- other Arrangement patches, maybe rename them with the title of the
- composition and new key, for other subsequent transposed compositions.
- Then simply re-edit your Bseq in C to use the new Arrangement which
- shifts it to the key of E..
-
- Hope this is clear enough??
-
- Alternatively, you can also do this if you have the new ROM upgrade
- which enables i-Series users to be able to save out a Bseq as a SMF
- MIDI file this can be imported into the i3's sequencer and transposed
- from within there.. This can then be saved as either either an SMF or
- an i-Series .SNG (song) file..
-
- Email me if you don't understand my explanation or would like more
- information regarding this aspect of the i-Series Workstations..
-
- Best regards
